Preparing individuals to independently carry out their tasks without assistance. Tailoring the needs of employer with the individual.
Counseling and training students for preparing, securing, retaining, advancing, or regaining competitive employment, including resume and job application assistance.
Facilitate an opportunity for a student to observe diferent jobs and ask businesses questions about the skills, knowledge, and abilities needed to perform the tasks involved in the job.
Enable work experience intended for the student to explore careers, understand the nature of work, and/ or build fundamental work skills.
Work with you to explore vocational interests, the labor market, in-demand industries and occupations, non-traditional employment options, and/or identify career paths of interest.
Guide Students through postsecondary success with enrollment, exploring education options, aligning with career goals, securing financial aid, providing assistice tech for disabilities, and assisting in decision-making for majors or programs.
Provide workplace Readiness Training, including Benefits Information, Independent living, and Job Seeking Skills Training, covering career planning, soft skills, and techniques for securing and advancing in employment.
Provide Introductory Work Activities like Career Mentorships, Informational Interviews, Job Shadows, Service Learning, and Workplace Tours. These activities offer valuable insights into diverse careers.
Arrange opportunities for: learning about disability and its impact; learning about/ how to request accommodations, services, supports, and assistive technology; learning about personal rights and responsibilities.
Provide public transportation training to help individuals become more independent with using tools to understand schedules, safety protocols, guidance on route planning.
